There are a variety of excellent chillie sauces now readily available in most countries. If you would like to make your own, this recipe I learnt in Pakistan is really simple and excellent.
Ingredients
- 2 tbs vinegar
- 2 tbs coarsely ground chillie flakes
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp cornflour
- half cup water
Method
- Mix all above ingredients in a deep bowl, microwave to bring to the boil or add to a saucepan, bring to the boil and switch off.
- Cool and store in a bottle, can be stored for up to 4 days in the refrigerator or can be frozen for 3 months.
- A really good compliment to mild dishes.
