Print RecipeIngredients
- 6oz butter (slightly melt in a frying pan or microwave, do not overheat)
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup ground almonds
- 1½ cups sugar
- 1½ cups full cream powder milk
- handful coarsely chopped cashew
- SWITCH ON OVEN TO MEDIUM
Instructions
Mix all ingredients in a deep bowl, place in a square (approx 8x8) baking dish and place in the middle of the oven to bake.
After 15 minutes of baking, when the mixture starts setting, remove baking tray from oven and using a fork, gently stir the ingredients, use the fork to bring in from corners and sides and create a lumpy mixture.
Return to oven and repeat the mixing stage every 15 minutes for 3 - 4 times until a medium brown colour is achieved.
Cool for 20mins, then cut whilst warm and remove slices into a serving plate.
Can be served warm as part of a high tea or as a dessert following a special dinner. Will keep in the fridge for 2 weeks.
