Green Chutney

This is a really good mixture of mainly green ingredients and works very well as a dip or accompaniment.


  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 generous cup roughly chopped fresh green coriander (shoots and roots)
  • 2-3 small green chillies
  • 4 oz tomatoes
  • 1 small pear/apple/mango (optional)
  • half tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbs fresh/bottled lemon juice


  1. Wash the green chillies and green coriander in plenty of water.
  2. Place all ingredients in a chopper and work until chunky yet well mixed together.
  3. Remove into a serving bowl, add more salt and or sugar to adjust to your liking.
